Missionsports Foundation will be sponsoring a mission trip to Taiwan and Hong Kong in the summer of 2006.  Our team will be working under a veteran missionary, Dan Freeman, who has been faithfully serving the Lord in this area of the world for over 25 years.  

Our main project is the operation of two Bible youth camps. – a five-day camp in Taipei and a weekend camp in Hong Kong.  We will be working closely with the local churches and our team will be involved in all aspects of the camp including the daily services and devotional times.  In addition, basketball skills clinics will be given each day in the Taipei camp along with several scheduled games. 

Many of the young people attending the camps will be unsaved and we are excited for the opportunity to share the Gospel with them.  We ask for your prayers as the Lord prepares our hearts for this trip.

Missionsports Foundation offers and supports mission trips to allow students who are considering full-time Christian service the opportunity to step foot on a foreign mission field and experience the joy of serving Christ.

Team:  Students interested in participating in the 2006 mission trip to Asia will need to complete and submit the general application along with the Christian life questionnaire. 

Passport
A valid U.S. passport is required to enter and depart Taiwan and Hong Kong.  If you do not have a passport, you will need to apply for one as soon as possible.  The normal turn-around time for a passport is 6-8 weeks.  For online passport information, the following links may be used:

Visa
A visa will not need to be obtained for our trip to Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Recommended Vaccinations

Medical Insurance
We recommend that you consult with your medical insurance company to confirm whether your policy applies overseas and if it will cover emergency expenses such as a medical evacuation. U.S. medical insurance plans seldom cover health costs incurred outside the United States unless supplemental coverage is purchased. Further, U.S. Medicare and Medicaid programs do not provide payment for medical services outside the United States. Many private companies offer reasonable insurance plans that will cover health care expenses incurred overseas, including emergency services such as medical evacuations.
